Changing a form's action buttons using R5 designer when the form will be used on R4 clients can cause big problems. This is also a problem with Notes 7 changin Notes 6 shared action buttons.

There seems to be a problem with action buttons and differen versions of designers.

See:http://www.notesninjas.com/A555F9/nn.nsf/ByAlias/ActionButtons

There is also an issue with changing notes 6.03 shared action buttons with an notes 7 designer.

The buttons don;t update with a design refresh.

One way around this is to delete the shared buttons from the forms.

Update the shared Action button code etc

Then re-add the shared action.

Pain , but a workaround.

You could always just use a notes 6.03 design client....

Web Services Platform Architecture: Soap, WSDL, WS-Policy, WS-Addressing, WS-Bpel, WS-Reliable Messaging and More by Francisco Curbera, Frank Leymann, Tony Storey, Donald Ferguson, Sanjiva Weerawarana
Other books claim to present the complete Web services platform architecture, but this is the first one I've seen that really does. The authors have been intimately involved in the creation of the architecture. Who better to write this book?
